A quick note to let you know that I've updated my shop with some new items. No dolls yet but I am working on it.

I'll be doing a few sales this Holiday season but this is one of the best around...
Taking custom doll orders now for the Holidays!
I am making a big batch of dolls right now so it's a good time to get your custom doll order in for the Holidays. I won't be able to take any more custom orders after November 15 because I get busy with craft sales and everything gets so hectic around that time. The best way to order is to look over this page, and send me an email (with custom doll as the subject) with your preferences. I will most likely be finished with your doll in about 2 weeks. When I have finished I'll send you an invoice through Paypal for payment. You can't pick specific fabrics for the clothes but you can let me know color preferences. I'll also be updating my shop with other dolls so there's always that option as well.
I know many of you have mentioned saving up for a doll as a Holiday gift so now is your chance!

Paper chandelier craze.
You may have all noticed there is a trend with the crafty blogs with paper chandeliers lately. It started a few years ago when I bought this paper chandelier at the Polish Art Center in Hamtramck Michigan. When I bought it, it was old and faded which I loved. The colors were muted, but now a few years later they are even more pastel. Here is what it looks like now...
You can see it's based on a spider web pattern, Pajaki means spider in Polish.
Lena Corwin decided to make some to sell at the Brooklyn Flea. A little brighter.
And Sarah Neuburger, from The Small Object, made these. I love the range of colors!

Street find.
I always love picking up finds in the streets that can be transformed with a little TLC. My husband always rolls his eyes and tries to dissuade me when we come upon something awesome. This time he even agreed this little table had potential. It was definitely a little worse for wear (including bubble gum stuck to the bottom!). A little primer and glossy oil paint and it's a perfect little plant stand.

Special guest at the Flea!
So this last Sunday there was a special guest at the Brooklyn Flea. Martha Stewart was there filming for the show! They were mostly there for the awesome food, but stopped by the craft booth as well. By the way, if you get the chance to go, the food there is so great. Martha wrote about it on her blog today. Here am I with my wares. The show will air on November 10, it will a be a whole show on Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Flea in Dumbo this Sunday!
First, thanks to all who placed orders for dolls earlier this week. It felt good to have such a nice response to my dolls. I now am completely sold out (except for a few for sale at this Sunday's sale!) so it will be a little while before I have more dolls for sale in my shop. There are still some doll shirts and dresses left though.
This week the Flea Design Coop will be taking place at the DUMBO location under the Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday from 11am-6pm. I'm going to be there for part of the day, so come by and say hello. The weather is looking good for Sunday.
